Thanx Don,  I was just wondering... someone asked me what u can run on that bike and I was curious myself.  So you can run it in all light wieght classes and is it competitive in  middlewieght or are you just wasting time??

Super Dave

I think given a good rider and a really good Buell package, a Buell could do well in middleweight.  Probably not going to win, but you'll have fun.  How many races do you want to enter Jeremy?  Becomes one of those pocket book things for entries and tires.

::)  Dave I retired,  I was just asking for a .... uh .... friend.  Besides I dont think I could come across a good "Buell Package" and I certianly dont fit the good rider basis anymore,  I put on about 45 lbs since last season,  just got off the scale and Iam @ a good 250#'s now.  Just trying to get my Nickname FATKID back.

Good Luck too ya all this year,  hope to come out and watch a little bit this year and show off the new baby Boy - Kodey Bentz - after his second heart surgery in a couple months.

Agree with Dave on that...it could do well but to run it near the top would be expensive so you'd probably just opt for the jap bike if you wanted to go middleweight.  As I recall, top riders on built SVs and Ducs are still several seconds off MW lap times.  A Buell is certainly competitive with those bikes but it's still a LW bike and, as you know, there's a heck of a lot of fun to be had in the LW classes.

Love the Buell though.  I expect to sell my GSXR1000 street bike this summer and, if I replace it, I'll think seriously about a Buell for the street too.

See you this summer.  I hope all goes well with the surgery.  You'd better bring him to the track to show him off!
