Rubanatug Racing to Once Again Assist New Racers

To show our continued support for club racing in the Southwest, and the Arroyo Seco Motorcyclist Association (www.asmaracing.com) roadrace series in particular, Rubanatug Racing (www.rubanatugracing.com) will be offering the following "support package" to THREE new racers, for the race weekend on April 14-15 at the Arroyo Seco Raceway in Deming, New Mexico.

We will cover the following expenses for THREE new racers (not previously licensed in any roadrace series) for round # 2 of the ASMA series:

New Racers License Clinic: $100.00 for ASMA New Racer Licensing Clinic
Gate Pass: Weekend gate fee of $10 for the new racers.
Entry Fee: $40.00 Beginner's Race entry fee for the new racers.

We will also supply all pit items necessary including food, water, EZ-Up, generator, tire warmers, front and rear stands, fuel, compressor, tools and lawn chairs. We will assist with transporting, or coordinating transportation, for the bikes to and from the track if necessary.

Please respond in the Club Racing, MotoGP, WSBK and AMA section of the Rubanatug Racing website forums, in the "ASMA Round # 2 - New Racer Support Package" thread

with reasons why you should be selected as one of the THREE new racers. Selection of the "New Racer Support Package" winners will be made at midnight Saturday April 7, 2007.

Contest Update:

Nine entries so far for Round #2 of the Arroyo Seco Motorcyclist Association (www.asmaracing.com) and there is still time before contest winners are selected.

If you know of anyone who may be on the fence about racing, please have them enter the contest.

Thanks!

Sorry for the brevity.......I'm really tired.

We will post the Race Reports from the 3 New Racer Support Package winners as they come in. All 3 did really well and should be commended.

More importantly - everyone had a great time and grins were ear to ear all weekend.

Rubanatug Racing brought out our 3 NRSP winners this weekend and as an added bonus, two of the people that entered the contest and did not win decided to come to Arroyo Seco and race anyway.

Twelve (12) new racers took the License Clinic and raced on Sunday. We would especially like to thank Phil Neuzil, Alan Ankney, Ken Murray and Roger Heemsbergen for making this happen. Phil Neuzil allowed a group of us to work with each individual License School student so almost everyone received one-on-one training.

I had just as much fun working one-on-one in the License Clinic Saturday as I did racing on Sunday. I don't want to steal anyone's thunder, but to recap in a nutshell:

Chuck Kiley = dropped 15 seconds a lap between Saturday's License Clinic and Sunday's races.

Nia Pinnow = one of the most impressive 15 year old girls you will ever meet. Entered 4 races and held her own - even though she had never been on a road bike before Saturday. Not enough words in our vocabulary to tell you how proud we all were.

Doug Smith = hopped on the bike, raced 4 races and would have raced all 12 if we would have let him. Well done Doug.

I'll blog more when I'm not so tired.
