You do not have to have a shop to be a VP dealer.
I meet Yellow Desmo at the ROC last year, seems like a reputable guy.
Most tracks charge a vendors fee. If you have pre-orders, you are not vending, you are delivering.
U4 is being replaced with U4.1 The talk is that once U4.1 is in mass production[possibly for Daytona]
then whatever U4 is left, will be discounted.
VP South would like it so only their dealers can sell VP at any tracks in Florida. I have problems every time we go to Jennings, even though Team Velocity and myself are the two VP dealers for the WERA Nationals.

Yes you do have to have a shop to be a VP dealer.  VP does not hand out dealer accounts to anyone, especially someone trying to work out of there house.  VP required me along with every other dealer out there to provide proof that we are a legitimate business along with pictures of the dealership, business lic, sales tax lic, yellow pages ad and so on.  I have to say I'm sorry, Yellowdesmo998 is not a legimate business.  He works out of his house and sets up accounts with distributors under false pretense.  Not sure how he's doing it, but this clearly hurts all of the REAL dealers out there who actually make a living by having a storefront, overhead, insurance, rent, and so on.  Any of you reading this who are legitimate dealers need to be very concerned about people like this that actually disrupt the business in this manner.  I understand that guys like this want in on the dealer pricing to help there racing or make a little cash selling product.  Open a shop like the rest of us who actually invested thousands of dollars to make a honest living by establishing a customer base instead of destoying the market under false pretense.  DO NOT BUY FROM GUYS LIKE THIS!!  Establish yourself with your local bike shop and you will reap the rewards with strong customer loyality and the benefits will follow.

Benefits like what?  Running your stickers and listing you as a sponsor only to be charged full retail for used parts? (Brembo MC come to mind?).  It was used when I got it from you and you charged me much more then I could have gotten it from LP.  90% of what you offer is available to EVERY racer via Team Privateer.  That's where I get my parts when I'm not buying from you.

Get a legitimate business licenses and tax id's through the state and you can open accounts with MANY suppliers by maintaining a minimum by selling via the internet and trackside.  Not all suppliers require a store front.  Parts Unlimited and others do, but not all of them.  Many of them support internet and track side sales companies like myself.

There is NO rule stating that I can't help out fellow racers whenever I can.  I don't sell to the people you sell to, Bob.  I've never encroached on your business.  I simply stopped buying from you and that pisses you off.  I've been nothing more then a customer to you and as a customer I took my business else ware.

Once again, you don't even sell VP trackside.  You sell to local racers from a 54 gallon drum that's over 6 moths old.  I've never approached anyone you sell to; I wouldn't even consider it as that would be hurting you.  And as a friend (perhaps not any more) I would never do that.

I'm sorry to the CCS board for this.  This shouldn't have been aired here.  Once again, Bob, I never took ANY business away from you except for my own.  Don't get mad at a customer for being an educated consumer.

My family and I have gone out of our way to be friends with you but you always treated me like another customer coming into your shop.  I even went as far as to drive 120 miles round trip to pick up fuel for your shop because you were too busy to get it.  Then no sooner then we get the drum off my truck do you turn around and charge me retail for it when you knew damn well I knew what it cost.  This was back when fuel was over $2.50 a gallon and I didn't even ask for anything for the gas.

Not to mention all the UnderArmor shirts I've purchased for you to show thanks for your help with my bike.  Then when I place a big order for parts I needed after a crash (all of which I could have gotten myself through Team Privateer) and you charge me retail for everything.  I expected to pay a little above cost which I was willing to pay to help you out, but full fricken retail?!  How many racers do that?  None that expect to race more then one season.  We all have outlets for deals.  You told me you would do this for our "race team".  Then you go back on your word but tell me after I pay for everything.  That's when I stopped buying from you.  But I've never stopped calling you a friend or call you out in a public forum.

Ok, everyone, no one is helping anyone.

Who's gonna call who to get the correct info?

VP has connections with the AMA series, so there would be reason to believe that VP National would be at the AMA event.  How much it would cost to be there for CCS?  Don't know, not worried.  Someone call them.

VP is also sold by various distributors and dealers all over the place.  Work with your relationships, and if you don't like to develop new ones, well, don't try developing them or ruining them.  This goes both ways.

Someone put up something constructive.
I called Prieto (the VP supplier for CCS Florida region) a couple weeks ago and he told me he would not be supplying for Daytona.  He said VP National would have their truck there and that it would cost less than if I bought from him.
I called VP National to verify and they said they will be there from the 28th thru the 11th and they will have plenty of fuel.  They also told me they will have the new U4.1 for those that care.  I did not ask them about pricing.

Shirts that I paid you back for unlike the money you never paid Bill back for...$260.  Yes, anyone can get a license but it does not give you  the right to open account under false prestense with companies and sell there product.  Let me ask you, and tell the truth.  Did you tell your distributors that you are going to sell THERE product out of your home?  Answer.........NOOOOO!  By the way Suomy has canceled your account.

When you bought your bike I gave you dealer cost on over $3000 worth of product.  You seem to think that now your entitled to that everytime you walk into my shop.  Discount sure, cost everytime no.  You had full access to my service shop any time of day which is worth a lot.  You were able to change your tires, oil, chain/sprockets, valve clearances anytime you needed to and you want to tear up over a few nickles, please man I have to make a living to.  I always told my fellow racers to not feel bad if you want to shop elsewhere for parts because I cannot always beat everyones prices.

I lost faith in you way back at Summit when you would'nt stick you neck out for a fellow team mate and had the NERVE to do it again at Daytona.  Please don't tell me that it was'nt your garage because you cleared it with the owners and told me and Mike J it was ok to move in.  Only to pull another flim-flam at the track instead of looking out for one another.  Your not a team player and that's why your not trusted in this area be fellow riders.

VP is not cheap and every dealer knows they make SQUAT for profit on it.  You wanted the VP I had in stock even though you knew it has been open for a couple of months otherwise WHY did you buy it then.  You don't even need it, your not that fast anyways, you talk as if your the fastest guy out there but your not.  You'd rather look good than concentrate on actually learning how to ride fast and trying to impress others with all the goodies on your bike rather then using them to there full potential.

You mentioned " Many of them support internet and track side sales companies like myself."  Let's get this straight, your not a company!  Your a person scamming distributors into thinking you have a RETAIL STOREFRONT and selling shit out of your HOME.  Noticed I said home?  I am going to make sure that I call every distributor and let them know that "MID-ATLANTIC SUPERBIKE" is a fake and not legitimate.  I gaurantee they will shut you down, and how do I know this, because two have already been notified and they were grateful that I gave them the news.  There exact words from both companies were "WE HATE PEOPLE LIKE HIM."

Story goes like this.  I first met you thinking hey he's a nice guy and had fun hanging out with you at the tracks.  Then I started to know you more and more and then the pieces fell together.  Your just to busy looking at, thinking, and doing stuff for yourself rather than helping out a fellow rider and you should know better because you go to church.  Stop thinking about yourself all the time.

I'll sum it up with this, you qouted "I've been nothing more then a customer to you and as a customer I took my business else ware."

That's your whole problem, I was trying to be friends you wanted to be a customer.  I called you last week to invite you to lunch to talk about the upcoming season, it very well appeared you were not interested.

I didn't think that Suomy was dealer direct anymore?  Parts Unlimited?  Romaha?

For the last 4-5 years VP semi has been located at the Texaco station about 1.5 miles East of track on Speedway BLVD.  Their pricing is has actually bean cheaper as it is an AMA event and they have special pricing for AMA racers.  They typically are only there until Thursday if I remember.    I have no idea about CCS/ASRA.  In any event you can ussually locate a flyer or hand out with directions and location etc.

Sorry Update06, you are incorrect about having to have a shop.
All you have to do, is have the cash for the buy in.
I've been a VP dealer for 5 years. In that time, I've talked with several racers who became dealers, just by getting a group of fellow racers together and doing a buy in.
I did not have a shop, when I first became a dealer. I operated out of my apartment.
The problem is most of these guys don't pay taxes and insurance on their none business, and therefore can sell fuel for a lot less than a legit dealer.

The AMA Special Rules issued for Daytona state that there will be no other fuel suppliers other than the one's that are permenatly on site at Daytona...Sunoco?  So, VP should be off site.
