FedEx...anyone else having issues?

...So in the last 2 weeks I was shipping via FedEx because their rates are somewhat cheaper than UPS, and hey, who doesn't like to save a buck?

Well, fully 75% of those shipments had "delivery exceptions". As a business in the race industry, I find that unacceptable. Especially once we are full into the season, deliveries MUST arrive on time, no 'delivery next business day'.

I apologize to those who received their packages a day or so late. We're going back to Brown, because we did not seem to have these issues with UPS. It will probably cost you $2 extra to go ground, but hey, you'll get it when you are supposed to.

As always, thank you for patronizing our biz.

I use UPS.  I have shipped Fed Ex and the stuff always seems to get damaged.  !!!!

i use fedx a lot at the company i'm with. it seems to be 1-2 days late quite a bit. but it's not a huge issue with me cause i'm able to leave myself a buffer on most things. but if i need something in a hurry, i go ups and R&L Carriers does really good with big shipments

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "WOOOHOOO! What a freaken ride"

I cannot in any way, shape or form  allow stuff to be late. I don't care whether you need it today or a month from now. I'm paying for service, and I haven't gotten any from FedSux.  And damage? Not an option. Brown from now on. They are real pros, even if they are a few $$ more. I guess you get what you pay for.

Alexa,

have had nothing but trouble from FedEX --late shipments, damaged goods, wont make good on damage claims and if they do its takes months for PARTIAL payment. Honestly, I have better luck with the fn Post Office.

Hope this helps

Well...I got my leathers within a day or two of when you sent them so I have no complaints.

...and you did a nice job on my leathers.

Thanks!

One set of take-offs sold on E-Bay took 3 weeks to get to Texas with FedEx =ed nightmare with buyer. I switched over to UPS and USPS as they are Union companies that pay their employees a better wage. Have not had a problem since.

good lookin out Alexa!!

I have relied on things to be delivered to the track, or to be delivered prior to leaving for a race weekend and cant IMAGINE the hostility I would hold towards the carrier if it was sent out on time and not delivered as promised.  I would say the only way I ever ALMOST got stung on that was when buying Armour Bodies for my 02 bike.  Had em being shipped to Rob at Lithium and then he was to bring em to MAM for a 2 day track day.  Well apparently customs held the package and no dice for the track... thankfully Rob had a set of lightly used sharkskins at the shop and brought em along knowing I would be out of luck without em.  Just bolted em right up and ended up buying those instead!

Its nice to have people like Alexa and Rob lookin out for ya, they make it personal!!

Thanks guys

I use FedEX almost exclusively at the shop and we have had really good luck..  They are a fair bit cheaper than UPS.  I don't know what makes us so special that they don't screw up our stuff lol!

Everyone always says 'Fed Ex is cheaper, DHL Is Cheaper"  How come everytime I plug in the package and compare rates, UPS Is 98 % of the time cheaper?

UPS makes it too easy for me to do business with them.

I ship UPS occasionally, but I have done comparisons between the two.  Basically I think I just get a better discount from fedex than UPS.
