This is not intended to start a oil thread.  Im just wondering what brand and weight people have been using and if it has been good or not.

I have a 96 F3, any preferences on oil for that would be appreciated also.

I have been using Royal Purple "21" (5w30) since 1995. No  problems , excellent wear protection. No clutch problems.

I use Motul.  Either the semi-synthetic or full synthetic.  Great oil.

That reminds me... I should go change my oil.  Now when did I do that last?

GRN_MACH

trying BEL-RAY EXS full syn. 10W-50 Superbike for the first time let you know when the weather breaks.

GRN_MACH

seems to work good. alot more smooth 2nd - 6th, 1st into 2nd still alittle abrupt much has improved, maybe it just my shifting or something. no problem with clutch slipping so it's all good. now if i could stop ringing bits off in these damn bolt i could finish my safety wiring  and get to work on brake line, suspension and such.

Motorex, if it is good enough for Team Yoshimura it's good enough for me.  ;D

I used that Castrol Synthetic in the street bike.  What should I use in the race Duc?  Needs to be able to handle a fully modded and built motor.  Help.

I use Silkolene Pro4.  Was put in my 2000 GSXR750 when prepped as a new bike and never put anything different.  No problems at all with engine or clutch.

Though others will argue to the contrary, as long as you change it often, you will not have problems.   ;)

I'm switching to Klotz full-synthetic.  $30 per gallon.  Can't risk anything with the motor for the rest of the year.  Only the nest stuff from now on.
