Ok, got the CCS mailer.

I believe that traditionally, in the recent past, at combined CCS ASRA events, there has been a CCS ULGP Ex and ASRA ULGP with a purse.  Usually CCS ULGP has a purse, but not at combined events.

Looking at the Daytona and Heartland park schedules, Ex ULGP is shown as trophy only.  There is not ASRA ULGP.  GP bikes, the few that there are, are not allowed in the new ASRA Superstock class that I know of.

Eric, Kevin...I'd assume that cost of CCS ULGP Ex is less expensive?

I think it sucks that a purse class is eliminated.

It does suck! Dosen't really fall in line with their big statement at the top of the website. I'm still wondering how they came to that conclusion. you cant be the best and biggest by getting rid of purse classes! just more mindless bullshit, can't see renewing my license this year.

Super Dave

Well, there are four purse paying individual classes, and the Team Challenge, so I will state that those are available.

Unlimited GP hasn't been part of ASRA/FUSA for a couple years now. But the CCS race still paid a purse last year at combined events, I guess they cut that since they added an extra purse class to ASRA.

I checked and it is the same as last year.  Road America the ULGP was trophy only.  I believe the reasoning behind this is to keep the "National Boys" from messing with the regional championships.

National boys will run it still because it usually pays factory contingency

I have not received my mailer yet. If I remember right the ULGP class that used to be a purse for Ams maintained the $70 registration cost after the purse elimination. Correct me if wrong...

ASRA SuperStock is 1000cc or less right? Whereas ULGP is unlimited configurations allowed, correct? I guess I'm once again lost on the basis of your question Dave? Would you clarify?

If it doesn't pay a purse, then the entry fee should be in the non-purse structure.

Oh yeah, I agree there Arnie. My second year Am. I raced an I-4 1000 and was looking forward to the possibility of some purse there and was willing to pay the $70 fee-then purse was eliminated and fee stayed the same.

I guess I don't understand Dave's question; A true GP machine will usually have mods that are not allowed in SuperStock?
