Hi Folks, I have a Question to any one who races a 600. I raced a Buell XB12 last year and just bought a 600rr to race this year. My question is (I could not find it in the rule book) do you have to put guards on your cases and if so what type. I know the suzukis and some yamis do but what about the hondas. Also what class is everone racing. I am a amature .  Thanks

hey pimp, ccs excepts frame/body sliders as case gaurds on all bikes.  :thumb: and the 600 guys can race basically everything, MW HW UN in SS and SB I think you can race something like 7 or 9 classes in a weekend on a mw ss bike.

The Hondas do not need case savers or hardened side covers.

Frame sliders are not replacements for the hardened side covers or case savers on machines requiring them.

You don't have to have case covers (as Eric wrote), but I'd highly recommend at the least a right side guard like the woodcraft one.  I personally run both Left (cover) and Right (gaurd) Woodcraft parts.  The stock Left cover will take a few lowsides pretty well but after that they will eventually grind thru. The Woodcraft ones you just keep replacing the bolt-on sliders.

You can run MW on up.  I typically run MW SB, MW GP, and depending on the weekend & $$$ HW SS & SB, and even on occasion MW SS.

+1 on that.  Eric Wood does make a couple pieces that will protect, but not replace, the side covers.
