Teknic Violators are nice and can be found for $100 or less.

i would get more of the Technic gloves, i like the 2006 model better than my held or Kushitani gloves, i have seen the 2007 model, but not tested in them

I used alpinestars GP-PRO gloves this last year.  The only thing I don't really like is that it seems that they are sized goofy.  The A* XL doesn't fit like everybody else's XL.  It's a bit smaller.

I like that the fingers have external stitching as they are incredibly comfortable because of it.  The only drawback is that the stitching is now exposed and subject to more abuse in a crash or through general use...

I have the Held Gloves.  And think thier pretty good.  I only have one issue with them.  I seem to think that they have a tendency to split the stiches on the palm side in a crash.  A few other guys have told me this too.

THe current pair i have has this (about 6 or so stitches gone) but they didnt get any worse in the one crash i had this year. ??

I've tried older technic and joe rocket gloves  and feel the held are still better.

The Kobe Pro Racing gloves https://sitesecure.us/1888fastlap/store/customer/product.php?productid=16679&cat=266&page=1 are outtstanding!

Quite similar to the Held Galaxy in material, workmanship and features.  No breaking in period is necessary with these gloves and they fit my huge paws wonderfully.

I can't give you a personal report on their crash worthiness though.
