Hey everyone! New to the board here. Great forum and site! The CCS racing series sounds very exciting and prestigious! I wish all riders/teams/all members with any involvement in the series luck as the seasons wrap up this fall. I'm sure I speak for many MotoGP fans when I say that I am very excited for the final Grand Prix of the FIM MotoGP Series to wrap up in Valencia in a weeks time!

I was wondering also if anyone would be willing to tell me how I can get involved somehow in your racing series. I'm currently racing a small volunteer based, non-profit, for-fun pocketbike series in CT. I'm 17 and have been racing for about 4 years or so, but I'm looking for a new challenge now. Unfortunately, since Connecticut really doesnt have any nationally recognized circuits, its tough to find any racing clubs or organizations within my region, but I am very focused on finding some sort of privateer/novice series to compete in. Can anyone provide any information with getting started in the CCS? I'd appreciate any input at all and thank you for your time!  8)

Go to http://ccsracing.us/ all the info you need is there.  Download the "new racer information packet".  You'll probably be interested in the Northeast region.

Well to the habit. They say this sport is worse than cocaine addiction. Plan on getting a job (I know you're 17 so the parents will have to help) to pay for this addiction in the off-season. I believe Rob Wilkey came from pocketbikes and is very fast. Good Luck.

Good Luck.

yeah, i'd say cocaine's cheaper and probably safer to a point. but couldn't be near as much fun.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "WOOOHOOO! What a freaken ride"

You should check out the CCS affiliate LRRS http://www.lrrsracing.com/, they run up at Loudon, NH.  Penguin Racing school http://www.penguinracing.com/also runs classes & license races before almost every weekend.
