There was a guy running in Superbike with a bone stock looking yamaha ,   Still had the Duck Fender !! and Stock Pipe !!

Yea  im getting sick of seeing 5 factory racers stomp the field.

Quotei'd hate to say it, but i hate vir.  great surface, great facility, it's not a track i ever got comfortable at...

...i think that's where vir kills me, i can't get a rhythm there....

I've only done track days there, but I was the same way.  Rode the North course all day and never felt that comfortable (maybe because it's 90% decreasing radius?).  I actually liked the South course a lot better.

That's the motorcycle industry for you.

The AMA has goofy rules that make it attractive for the factories to run their own team and support no one else.  Makes the series look pretty lame...because it is.  There's some good racing, decent at least, but will never be more than that until the rules are changed so that is makes sense for the manufacturers to support many teams...ala NASCAR...then you'd have teams that have employed mechanics, owners, riders, etc...now, it's just lame with a few getting pay checks, and the rest making it look how it is...

How does racing cross over into my personal life?  I don't think I could live my regular life without racing.  People suck.  Jobs suck.  The world sucks.  But I'll put up with it if I can race once in a while.  Otherwise, why would I want to go to that job and be with those people?
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"

Oh boy.  Yeah, sounds familiar, Chris.  I remember the conversations.

Ever loose a job because of racing...;D

Ever turn one down because of racing?   ;D

I didn't LOSE a job because of racing... but racing was a big part of why I QUIT my last job  :)  A six-figure salary does you NO good if you can't take ANY time off to enjoy it....

And I probably would have turned down the job I have now (which I *love*, BTW) if I WASN'T told ahead of time that my race weekends wouldn't be a problem.
