Greatings friends! I'm glad most of you figured out how to enter and exit turn one Saturday! I was ready to start charging for parking! Maybe I will next year and donate it to an injured racer fund or something. I was glad to see such a huge turn out. VIR is my fav. track to work at and camp during the weekend.
On Sunday I had a different vantage point at turn 21 midway at the hill top. am 836 saw a full moon that day! :ass:. :lmao:
The team challange race was awesome. I hope those competing in the MOTO ST got a good warmup this weekend. I pick Nate's team to win. Though I don't remember all the winners I feel all of you are winners anyway. The racing as always was great. Many races featured some very close competition.
I wish all of you the best of luck at the ROC and those that did not escape injury get well soon and I hope to see you out there next year.

Were you in T1 during the GTU on Saturday?  I was the guy that was bumped off during the start at T1.  I sat in the gazebo for the entire 25 minutes while the race went on.

Anyway, if it was you, thanks for the cold drink!  It made the wait a little more bearable.

Cornerman

Yes it was! Always glad to offer a cold one. I know I was hot that day. I can inagine what you racers go through. Take it easy! When in doubt blame the bike! Are you the one that said you got bumped off?

YellowDesmo998

Yep, that was we.  Someone on a green bike (not sure what number but have an idea) stood their bike up mid-turn and forced me to make a decision, either t-bone him or go off in the grass.  I chose the later and paid a small price.  I just wish I could have gotten an apology as I know he saw me go down.  Oh well, that's racing I guess.

Thanks for your hard work this season.  We wouldn't be out there racing without you guys!

Where were you pitted?

YellowDesmo998

Middle row right near the timing tower and the tech shed.   There was a red Ducati 999 pitted with me under my EZ-UP.  We were about 30 feet from the corner where you make a left to go to pit-out.

My leathers are Kobe X-Pro, blue, grey and black with yellow letters.

Its a shame that no one fessed up to that. On another accident in turn 1 Sat. two riders got in a nasty crash. One caused the other to crash it was am 83? Instead of trying to re-enter the race he saw the ex (can't recall the # was still down he ran over to check on him instead. He and my fellow conerworker helped him up and he stood there holding this injured rider untill he got his bearings. It was a kodak moment :thumb:. It sure scared #83. It moments like this that should make us content competing and working for CCS. Hopefully nothing like your accident happens again. We all know that the track is only so wide. Sometimes things are unavoidable. Other times they are not. I saw 12 examples of accidents there on Saturday. It was crazy. Every one was uniqe in its' nature. My flagging hand had blistered!  :ahhh:

hey! Thank you for all the hard work. Without you guys we wouldn't be able to have so much fun!

You wouldn't give me or my team a chance in endurance racing?  :wah: I just need to find someone who likes to ride as long as I do. You may have seen my only mistake in the entire 2 hours when I locked up my front and bottomed out my forks and planted my face in my triple on top of the hill... :ahhh:

I didn't know I was on the lead lap chasing around 2nd overall (My only goal was to win the solo), or I would have tried a bit harder and maybe came in first overall  that would have been sweet!

Like I say if I can't go faster than then, ride longer!  8)

some TC pics

TC podium, Kevin's camera was more important though lol

TC overall 1st (Moon cycle II #1), 2nd (Team All-Stars #30), 3rd(me #188) about to catch and lap 6th overall (Steel City Racing #707), this is a great shot, I never knew we were so close

Here is us racing together again, although #1 has put some distance on us.

What you can't see is my hair/braid strangling me all race long because it got caught on the zipper of the leather somehow. It was my stealth tactic though because people usually recognize me from my hair and this time they saw nothing!

I will tell my wife Dafan about the hair thing. :D

I forgot to thank her about it after the race. sorry :D

It was just a very weird incident, I had never had that happen. I think I zipped up with haste onthe restart and got some caught, and my little attempts of trying to free it didn't quite work out so I just let it go. It was caught on the left side so it was worse turning left but thankfully most turns go right. it still worked out fine though lol. I will get cornrows again like usual next time... didn't have enough time this weend cuz we left a day early.

Gixxerblade

You need to cut it. :D Or is it your power?
