That damn Monte!  He's working me like a dog!

This Friday night I'll be leaving for Mid Ohio.  Saturday and Sunday I'll be crewing for Rob of Lithium Motorsports during the club racer qualifying heats, in the hope that he'll earn one of the starting spots for the AMA weekend.  Monday through Thursday I'll be coaching STT track days.  Friday, Saturday and Sunday I'll be trying to sell books to the AMA spectators, unless Rob's made the AMA cut.  In that case it will be my first weekend as a privateer AMA mechanic!

The real burden comes on the Monday after AMA, when I have to coach at the STT/Motorcyclist Magazine/Yoshimura Suzuki Fantasy Camp track day, rubbing kneepucks with Mladen, Spies, and Yates.  (I hope Yates doesn't try to practice his Kung Fu on me....)  I've taken the Tuesday off to drive home.

So I'll be out on the road for 13 grueling days.  Yes, it's a dirty, strenuious job, but some poor sap has to do it, and I guess that sap is me!

Paul was whining about not racing tonight (after he found out how much it was going to cost for Renee's band trip to San Antonio).  I hope we'll make it to an event or two next year. 

However, you should see how sweet the dirt bike track is since we got a brush mower and a new back blade for the tractor.  The farm service agency sent us an arial photo to confirm our property lines - - and you could see the track as plain as day!   I need to contact them to see if I can get an actual photo verses just a copy that they sent.

An hour? What took you so long? I recall doing one with Dave Doe at Mid-Ohio back in '91? in under 45 minutes. That was a fresh off the track HOT motor too............

Dang conflicting dates for everything. I know a lot of people that won't make the Wegman due to other races this weekend.

You guys have a blast.  We were going to go to BHF this weekend for Wegman, but I'm running in a 5k Saturday so we won't  make it.

Isn't MidOhio the next weekend anyway?  We talked about going to that, too, but I don't feel like hauling Miss Hayden for 10 hours straight in the RV. 

We have decided that the MidOhio superbike consolation race will be the one to see and we're sorry to miss it!!!

Have fun K3 and kick some mechanic ass.  It's the most fun.
