It was great to race again. I was riding a Triumph 675 at autobahn this past weekend and I made some respectable times in my opinion. I hit 1.39.08 on a totally stock bike, street tires and all. Anyways, I want to go faster, so I'm looking for advice on where & how to spend my hard earned $$ to maximize my benefits. If you were me, where would you spend $$ first to improve the bike and lap times. I'll be at BHF this weekend and I'll probably pop for some race tires first. Other suggestions have been to alter the gearing ( I did Autobahn in essentially two gears, 2nd and third, fourth on the straight). The brakes are awesome! The stock suspension has lots of adjustment and I'm getting confused on where to start with that... although some have suggested that I get it measured before I start making adjustments. If you were in my position with a blank slate, where / how would you get up to speed?

Spring rates for the 675 seem to be good for riders from about 175 to around 200 pounds.   Dampening seems to be limited, though, for harder race track duty.

I'd say that gearing would be a good thing to go for.

I don't know of a large knowledge base for the Triumph at this time.

Getting it measured?  Yeah, chassis geometry is key.  You've got some options.  http://4and6.com is what I use, but I haven't had my new R6 there to get measured yet, but you might want to just talk to Jim there first.  Seems like there are more that like to be vocal on bashing them even though they haven't even used them, but I don't see most of the other shops competing where some of their customers do either.

That give you some ideas?
