Don Cook, AKA Dylanfan53, busted his collarbone at Autobahn this weekend.

I SWEAR I had absolutely nothing to do with it!   :ahhh:

Heal quick Don!
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"

:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :wah: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I ran real wide at the first exit of T13 (I think that's what it is and used up my limited mental capacity thinking about it instead of telling myself to make the damn turn.  I bailed and ran off where I shouldn't have and you can imagine the rest.  Stupid.

I didn't even get to hear K3's dylan impersonation.

EMT:
Where're you pitted?
Me to myself:
Rats...what track was this?
Doc at ER:
Well, we xrayed the collarbone, chest and pelvis.  Now you're going for a cat scan on your brain.
Me to myself:
I hate cats.  My ex wife had cats.  I hate my ex wife...
Me to doctor:
No, I'm ok, my brain's clear.  I'll pass.
Doctor:
Well, we really think you should have one.
Me:
No, my head's clear.  If you want to go looking for problems I'll point you in the right direction.  You can check my prostate.
Doc:
Okay, I record that you refused the cat scan.

Seriously K3. Thanks to all the staff at Sportbike Tracktime.  When I finally got back wondering how I was going to pack up one-armed, in the dark and loopy from pain killers I was speechless to find my trailer well packed and cinched down.  Some of the guys I don't even know across from me were responsible as well as staff members.  If you find out who they are, please tell them thanks from me.  They rock.

Needless to say, I'm out for the year.  Bike's not bad but I already see some expensive bits that need replaced.

Don, would there be any doubt that your stuff would be packed?  I thought you would have known better by now.

Chris probably had it well organized, barking orders, and making sure everything was jjjjuuuuuuussssstttt right.  Because that is what he does.  There was only once that Paul went to the races without me, but I didn't worry too much because he was with K3.

Although I received a phone call from a really, ahem, tipsy Paul that Saturday night

Get better soon.

Wish I could take credit, but I didn't even KNOW Don had crashed until he and his wife stopped by my pit to say goodbye!  Don was pitted as far from me as he possibly could have been, so I didn't notice he'd gone missing.  The other STT folks didn't realize that Cook & I are friends, so they didn't know to come tell me.
Nope, the guys who packed Don's trailer were other staff members.  Actually, most anyone who works for STT has at some point packed up the equipment of some unfortunate rider.  I work with a pretty damn cool bunch of people.

Hey Don, your wife is very nice!  How come you never bring her?
