Also posted in calendar events...

I have confirmation that Autobahn CC will be holding a racer practice Thursday September 7th. Cost will be 100.00 the day of the event. We'll be there getting bikes dialed in and ready for the ASRA event there this weekend. This will be the best opportunity for some setup time and practice for the races this weekend. Post up here or send me an email with any questions you have. LMsports@frontiernet.net

If I practiced all day thursday and friday, I wouldn't have anything left for racing on saturday and sunday.

Thats ok, just give me your entry fee money and I'll give you some trophies that you can take home with you. I'll have the empty VP can trophies and the worn out tire trophies available.

Rob,

Any indication that the transition from TRack day Thursday to CCS event starting Friday will be smoother than it was last year?

For those who weren't there last year, it was pretty ugly.  They wanted everyone who was staying over from the Track Day to race, to pack up everything in their pit and go outside the gate to be readmitted for the CCS event.  Lots of upset folks and threats that if they packed up they would keep right on driving home.

Last that I heard from Kevin Elliott was that CCS did not have the track until 7am Friday morning and would not have Registration or Tech set up on Thursday night.

Just real concerned about what to expect come 6pm Thursday night for the folks that are staying over.(based on problems last year)

Autobahn has no problem with racers staying set up for the weekends events after the track day. The decision is entirely up to CCS. If anyone from CCS management reads this and can comment that would be great.

I believe what happened last year and the concern for this year is that CCS when they take control of the venue their insurance requires waivers to be signed by each and every person on the premesis. Kevin was concerned about people that were too lazy or stupid to go outside and sign the waiver which put the organization and our racing at risk. He was concerned that individuals may hide in their pits, trailers, or whatever else instead of exiting the track and waiting in line to register and sign in.
