Before anyone gets the wrong idea.....I'm not leaving the Wegman Fund to do this. It came up unexpectedly (I never thought they would pick me!!) and the time involved will not be close to the Wegman time.

I have been picked to be on the AMA Pro Roadracing rules committee. 
Ron Barrick called yesterday with the news. I'm looking forward to a great experience working with the people that make the rules for the highest level of our sport in the country. 

I don't know who else is on the committee yet. I'm looking forward to meeting and working with whomever is there. First organizational meeting is July 13th at AMA headquarters.

I'll see you all at Blackhawk on Sunday the 16th.

Wow, that is most interesting. Do you think you will be allowed to discuss with us here the decisions being mulled over in the committee or will we have to wait for official postings? I'd be very interested in hearing about how some of the decisions are made and/or even brought forward for discussion.

You know, how much political influence is involved in these things.
