Are we allowed to go over the bridge to T5/6/7/8/9 or thru the woods to T4 or do we need a registered bike to do so??

I believe it has to be a street legal machine ie. scooter not off-road ie. dirt bike. At least thats the way it was last year.

More than likely you'll see more and more tracks going that route.

ok, just to let everyone know there is new well not new but now being enforced rules at Summit point. no pit bikes, 4-wheelers,golf carts,or any other off road non street legal vehicle allowed outside of the pits. that means turn 1 and the inside of the carosel.now for the scooters if and only if it is street legal and you rode it in through the gates will you be allowed to ride it around.so to everyone to save you head aches and dealing with track employees keep them on the asphalt pits only. these now enforced rules came from the vice presedent of operations and the track manager to all employees at the begining of the race season. i will tell everyone as a employee of the track and a long time corner worker that if you get cought more than once they will impound the vehicle until you leave on sunday night.

I'll be there on Saturday and I'll let you ride on the back of my bike if you shave your legs first.

I called Summit to verify what you said. It was just like last year. No dirt bikes or pocket bikes outside the paddock area but scooters are fine. They got tired of people getting out of hand.

I think I'm gonna pass on that.....I'll just take the truck over the bridge.

However, if U R there on Sunday U R more than welcome to be my pit bitch for the solo 200. ;-)

Last year there were at least two occasions that I can recall where the races had to be stopped because the ambulances were transporting spectators who were injured while fooling around with ATVs/pitbikes/dirtbikes.  Not to mention the other handful of times that, though we had an ambulance in service, the other one was tending to a down spectator.  It would sure suck to have two of you guys down in two different corners and have to tell you you have to "wait" for the ambulance.  It sucks that a few had to ruin it for all. There is a lot of land to cover if you want to see all of the Summit track!

Good luck to all and I will see you out there this weekend!! :)

My wife likes going to watch the races around 5,6,& 7 so if she can't do that with her pitbike that I bought for her whats the point of going if she has to be cooped up in a trailer all weekend?

:(.  There are bleachers on the OUTSIDE of turn 6/7 that are easily accessed by cars if that is an option. There is also a driveable path to the inside of 5, again that is only if there is a vehicle available. :(  Once again, a handful can spoil it for the bunch
