Hey there,

I'm new here and wanted to say hello.

I'm planning to try my first race next season.

SO far just getting ready with my bike and confidence.

I had a question about the race line at the Grattan track in MI.

The two parts I had questions about.  How do you all approach the  Hump between turn 4 and 5 . I have trouble with how hot to go over it with location, speed and braking.
Any Ideas you might help the noob here?
The second is from turn 8-10. I'm not sure of the line thru that section and wanted to ask for help with that section.

Thanks in advance!

I've been there a bunch.  I'm just an amateur so take this for what it's worth.  I start braking near the top of the hill, ease off as I crest and the front gets light, then as it settles back down I get on the front brake hard for the right hander.

Now, been there once when Larry Pegram was there, his approach was slightly different:

power all the way over the hill, slam on the front brake after cresting the hill, lift the rear 8 inches off the ground all the way to the right hander, and throw it in.  It was amazing!

Thanks for the help!
