HPT - Which side for #'s?

Why not have the #'s on both sides?

Been answered before but I am bored so here goes again. If it is on both sides what number is this 55 (55 or 5?) what number is this 7funny wiggle7 (717, 777, or 7 edge of number plate and another 7).  IE it makes it hard to read for the scorers, cornerworkers, and starter (you wouldn't want to not get the checker when you are in the lead would you?). 

Centered is the best then cornerworkers on both side of the track can easily identify you if you have a minor problem(smoking, dragging parts, etc) before it becomes a bigger problem (you sliding on your butt)

PS HPT = Clutch side


PPS and to the whole thought of we have electronic scoring why be so critical of numbers, is the safety aspect we need to be able to ID a bike on track quickly and easily, second manual scorers are there as a back-up in the event scoring system crashes or burps (and it has in the past and most likely will again in the future, plus burps don't cause manual scorers to lose track of bike order  ), Plus watching WSB races or Moto-Gp races try and read the numbers of the bikes as they do a wide shot of the field pretty hard isn't it? Now look at that same wide angle at a US race and you can clearly (normally)read the numbers on the backgrounds which helps your fans know how you are doing. :clap:

So, should I take the numbers off the right side of the front then, or is it OK to run a 3 digit number on each side of the front?

One set of front numbers, on the scoring side if an offset number plate, regardless of the number of digits, that is why Jeff was asking.

You can cover the other set of numbers up with duct tape or vinyl.
