Anyone have a clue how much guys like Ben Attard, Jason Pridmore, or Josh Hayes make?

Jeff

No clue...  If I were a betting man, I'd say that from all sources they are making around $100-150k.  Just a wild guess though.

Factory guys get paid what the contract specifies, and it varies between racers, and classes run. Some get the purse and endorsements, some pull salary, but all are making more than we probably surmise, particularly any racer who has a good marketing strategist behind them.

Mileage may vary.  Some riders pay to get rides.  Some of those payments might come from sponsors.  Some riders get a salary from their sponsor while getting nothing from the team.  And some get contracts from manufacturers and sponsors.

And some riders make more money racing for manufacturer contingency with less stress.

some poeple buy things sold and processed, some people process things sold and bought while others sell things at that are bought and processed?

There was a question on the AMA website answered by the staff that said that the salary of the riders is in the mid to upper 6 figures and the topriders clear the million mark.

Mladin, B.Boz, Duhammel, Spies, Hodgeson...yes.  Go further down, and it can vary.

Well he did say factory riders

Jeff

factory support and factory are 2 distinctly different scenarios...

I believe that Safety First could be classified as factory support...

Top tier: Factory team: Paid riders, mechanics and various hangers on, usually have endorsment deals and extensive contracts.

Next: Factory support: Team owner pays the bills, paid or contracted riders, with help from the factory in bikes, parts and technical assistance. Contracts vary by team. Some endorsments are likely.

Then: Privateer with major sponsorship, not factory. Team owner pays the bills, contracted riders, purchases bikes, runs team with sponsor $$$ and winnings.

And last: Privateer: owns own bike, hauls own shit, pays own bills, may or may not have sponsorship $$$ available, usually through Visa-Visa-Matercard.

But the original post was about Pat Benattard, Pridmore...

Not factory, but factory support programs, per Alexa's list, which is good.  There are variations among it all, but that puts it pretty simply.

Safety First isn't getting what Attack is.  They aren't at the point yet where they are getting what Attack is getting.  Might see Safety First on the podium this year.  Will be good to watch.

I'm pretty sure there is a tier below the 4th tier Alexa listed, don't know what it is but I'm on it.
