Ok, my first weekend of riding the new SV behind me.   WHAT A BLAST!!!!  I love that bike!

In typical Russ fashion, I wasn't even aware there was a stock rear shoock on the bike till I raced on it.  How the hell am I supposed to be accountable for all this stuff?

Anyway, time to find a shock. 2003 SV.

Suggestions?  Likes, dislikes?  Places to get a deal?

Thanks, y'all.

Do or do not, there is no "try".

We did great, considering we're too old farts.  Of course, GL is waaaay older than me though.

He rode 30 laps without stopping.  I was about to run across the track and drag him off.  He was faster on his last five laps than when he started.  He hopped off the bike like it was nuthin, huge smile on his face.  Smart ass.  I was about to collapse after 26 laps.

I have a Penske on mine. Talk to Ed Kwaterski 262-366-0591.

BTW Jason and I just split the race, I think I did about 37 laps - managed to finish second.

Shock? Yeah I was shocked when you told me I did 30 laps!! Sure didn't seem that long.

Are we going to do this again?

We are talking about racing, right?

Of course, Mang.    Can't wait to get out there and do that again.  All I need is a shock, and maybe an exhaust system, and the bike might actually perform like a racing machine.

Settle down boys, you're gonna get the drizzles.  ;D

Dunno about an '03 but a double click Penske works great on a 1st gen SV.  Then again, a stocker didn't seem to slow Brian Lacy down a bit until he got a new shock.

I've got a Penske on my 03 and it works great. I've got an M4 full system high mount if you need an exhaust (minor scratching from trip through the gravel trap) if you're interested.

Wanna tell me more about that exhaust system?  A pic or two?  I'm interested.
