hahahaha.....try going back another 10 years and do a six hour endurance races on skinnier tires, smaller fork tubes, harder compounds and even less useful suspensions and brake pads. Our sprints were 10+ laps and we did a 100 miler at some events.

Everyone has to ride what they have available in their time on the track. What was lousy to you in '91 would have been great for us guys that rode in the early 80's.

Ed Key and I talked about that stuff this past weekend at Blackhawk and had some good laughs. We rode together on an endurance team back in the early '80s and had a ball doing it.

After being away 15 years you can imagine the shock I had of getting on a modern bike and race tires. These things work like nothing I ever rode back in my day. I had a blast.

I could not be more proud that you rode my new machine for your first ride back from early retirement.  Only wish the thing met the minimum HP requirement for lightweights.  Isn't there a minimum?  what a huge change from running a machine with 120+ HP...  I think my new SV has a whopping 50 HP at this point.

I even tried the Fred Flintstone move and used my feet to get more power on the exits.

If any of you didn't see it, Mr. Lunde was grinding knee sliders on Sunday.

I'd like to see you do 50 miles on a 1991 ZX-6 D model with no front end suspension a crappy Fox shock and worthless EBC brake pads....

Paul did that on that very model of bike with the stock shock which had 22,000 miles on it.

;D

When I got off the track Saturday I told my wife and daughter that I could have gone faster but my skirt kept blowing up over my face shield so I couln't see where I was going.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it..............
