Summit this weekend - gates open Friday?

Will I be able to get in Friday to drop off my trailer for the races this weekend?  If so, whats the time frame?  Thanks

do you mean all night friday? I might have to drive up and drop my stuff off with a friend and come back home then drive back sat. am. a little over an hour each way. :)

Well, camping is allowed but they prob close the gate at some point - I just asked them if I could come in Friday to drop off my stuff and they said the gates "would be open all day"

The gates do not close to summit overnight...

they have someone at the gate 24/7.

Was that told to you by someone at BSR? I have never in my 6 years of being at Summit and with MARRC ever heard or seen them close the gates in the middle of the night.  Donnie is usually the overnight person at the gate and he's there from 8 or 9 PM till 5 or 6 in the morning when he's relieved.

Well Emer you must have missed alot because it was Donnie that told me this.  Maybe ask him about sometime :)

Maria in the BSR office advises that the gates are open round the clock on race weekends.
