Just got a phone call from my mom a couple seconds ago  :-[

My dad went into the hospital this weekend for a mild heart attack, he was in good spirits when I saw him last night.  They just ran the scope to his heart and looked bad.  They are prepping him for bypass surgery right now.  He already has a pacemaker and is a horrible throat cancer survivor.

I don't know if this means anything, but my dad is a good guy.  Was born dirt poor, put himself through college with a full football scholarship.  He joined the Marines out of college as an officer and was a platoon leader.  After that worked as an exceutive for Purina for some years.  And then finally wrapped it up as a college professor with a PHD.
I am proud of what he did with his life!
He is a good man!  Please say a prayer for my dad today.  Thank you.

Carter, Diana and I will both pray for your Dad!  Glad to read the attack wasn't as bad as they can be.  Hopefully the docs will get him feeling like a 40 year old again! :)

Haven't you been kicked in the sack enough times yet?  Man.  Prayers for sure, especially for YOU.  Keep your head on straight.
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"
