I'd like to race in the LRRS July 29 & August 12th weekends and could use some help.  I race a KTM supermoto here in CCS & WERA south west region (Expert) and Since we don't race here in the summer I'd like to race at Loudon.  I'll be spending 2 months in the NYC area and would love to ship the bike out with me.  I raced twice at Loudon back in 97 has the track changed at all?  Is there a decent turnout for supermotos?  What times can the Supermotos run.  When I raced as a novice on a ZX6R my times were in the 1:23 range.  Is there a shop near NHIS that I could ship my bike directly to?  Thanks

Super Dave

Might want to try http://www.lrrsracing.com

LRRS is a CCS affiliate, so you might be able to get some more local information quicker through their site.

They have a pretty lame website with no forum or local dealer info.  I'd love to find a local KTM dealer that has some race track presence.

Hey man,

Motards are EXTREMELY popular here at Loudon. Loudon (as you may remember) is very tight and technical (and bumps) so the motards run very well. You can run them, and be competitive, in a great many classes.

Off the top of my head..

GTL (20 min race)
Lightweight Grand Prix
Lightweight Superbike
Ultralight Superbike
Motard
Super Singles

I think the track *has* changed a little bit since 97. You can view a current lap here: http://www.bigtunaracing.com/vids.htm (June 1st vid). That's from AM 600RR rider Jim Fish at a trackday.

As for a shop to ship the bike to.. no idea really. Try contacting Nault's Honda in Manchester NH, ask for Jay Root, he's a good guy and motard racer as well.

Cya in July / August.

As stated already SuperMotards are Extremely popular at Loudon, and very competive in the lightweight classes.
in the rain they are nearly unstoppable.
