My wife went to start her R6 this morning to ride to work. Won't start. Just turns over and over, no fire.

Turn on the key all the guages and lights come on. I'm puzzled.

Bike has about 8k on it.

We rode about 200 miles last Saturday.

All fuses are Ok, no kinks in fuel lines

Bike is in great condition, never raced or beat on. She has done a few track days.

If I spray Starting Fluid in the Ram air the bike fires rite up and runs until the starting fluid is burned off.

I have spark on all 4 plugs. I have checked the kickstand switch, kill switch and clutch switch they all work.

In the service manual it says if when you hit the starter button and the engine light flashes it an injector problem. That is what it is doing.

Now what?

Has anyone ever had a similar problem?

Thanks,

Nick

Did you try to clean out the fuel pump or drain the tank.  It's possible to get water in the bottom of the tank after washng or riding in the rain.  Try to drain the fuel out of the entire bike and clean.

The bike sat out in the rain last Sunday for 2 or 3 hours while I was wrenching in the garage.

I'm thinking thats what it was.
