Is anyone out there running these that may have the recommended race tire pressures for 120/ 190 set up and any feedback on how they performed.

Thanks

I played with them last season and will be running them again.  I found that in almost EVERY situation out there, a 31lb front and 29lb rear will work very well.  Good grip and great wear.

I played with knocking up the rear pressure in the REAL hot days, and just lost traction because of it.  It was strange.  I could regulate the heat by the pressure, but at that point the tire was so hard that it wouldn't flex and caused loss of traction.

31/29 and you're golden...

Performance wise?  Well, I honestly believe that this is the best bang for the buck tire around.  I can run a front for about 8-10 sprint races, and a rear lasts about 5, depending on how hard I'm pushing it.  I have pushed the rear to 7 sprints but suffered terrible traction.  The tire was just plain shot.

I run the soft front year round, and the medium rear for almost the entire season.  If it's super cold and the track is pretty smooth, you can get away with the soft rear.  However, on an abrasive track (i.e., gingerman), you're better off on a medium rear regardless of the temperature.

I really like the tires and can go pretty well on them.

Wow Jeff-thats pretty good!  I ran them back in '04 and didn't come away all that impressed.  They were cheap, but it seemed the rear would start spinning up on the 2nd sprint :(  (I'm not fast btw ;))

I have heard they have gotten better, and with their success in MotoGP I am sure they will get a lot better.  I might have to pop on a set this year to see how they are now.

I ran stones in '03 & it seems I put my pressures where Jeff recommends.

You can always contact Stickboy on WERA's board.  He can tell you for sure.

The new BT002's with an 05 or newer build date are really really good.

EXACTLY...  The rears should have a build date of about mid year 05 and then they are VERY good.  I did run some LATE 04 stuff (like 0904) and it was decent, but there was a noticeable difference when I got the 05 stuff.

The fronts I ran were all 05.

And I just got a shipment with some 06's in it...   ;D
