I'm new to CCS and have a question about the Speedscreen Unlimited GP race.  Is this a $70 race?  If so, why is it more than the other 5 lap races?

I also have a question about camping.  I will have a trailer and it appears that reserved camping is only at the major events.  If we can't reserve is there plenty of spots with hook-ups?

Are we allowed pit bikes?

Thanks

Speedscreen Unltd is a purse paying class and as such does not qualify as your first entry, it is $70 regardless.

As far as camping, call the Road America office and ask what the protocol will be. 1-800-365-RACE (7223)

Pit bikes are allowed.

Do or do not, there is no "try".

UGP is a purse race and has qualifying for expert, It is $70 and does not count as your first entry at most venues (RA, Barber  and Daytona are exceptions)

Here is link to RA info. http://www.ccsracing.us/forms/2006/06%20daytona%20mailer%20v2.pdf

Here is entry  highlight

America and Barber will be TwinSprint
events. While your first CCS entry will be
$75 and each additional CCS class is $50.
Your paddock pass for the three days will
be $35 when purchased at the event. The
two-day paddock pass is $25 and one-day
passes for Sunday will be $15. Post entry
will be $75 for each CCS class.
One other important feature will be that
races will be limited to an 80 bike maximum
at Road America and 60 bikes at
Barber and will not be split. This means
there will be a limited number of spots on
each grid so get your pre-entry in now so
as to save your spot.

The reserved camping at races are spots for best viewing of the races, not in the paddock. These have no hookups.

In the paddock I know of one spot where you can plug in a 30amp RV plug, I think there are at most 4 actual sockets. Cost extra for electrical hook up. These will be gone very quickly. There are no water/waste hookups on site. Best bet is to have a generator and plan on using it.

The above is based upon last year. Best bet is to call the track as suggested by Alexa.

Forget electrical hook-ups and generators, do what I've done and pitch a tent!  After all, the last two years it's only gotten down to like, what, 17 every night!  (at least it's warmed up to like 35 during the day)

It is going to be sunny and balmy this year. At least in the 40's. I'm calling it...you can all thank me later. 8)

There is electric along pit wall.  They'll charge you for it, you'll plug in and then it will turn off.  The RA guy told us last year that their electrical system isn't built to support the pull tire warmers have.  Plug ins along pit wall are apparently meant for computers at Road America.

So save yourself the heartache of realizing your tire warmers have been off all morning when it's 35 degrees out and bring a generator.
