Okay .. Henry says he can see the page but he can't log in with his existing user name & password.

He's getting a message that he needs to register ..

When he tries to register, it tells him he's already registered!

So .. something's amiss here.

Somebody "in the know" needs to help him!

It has nothing to do with Henry's cache. it's an AOL problem with this version of the Bulletin Board. AOL uses a lot of proxies, which is not compatible with the security features of this version (1.4). This problem is fixed on the latest version (2.1).

Ask him to try and login using Internet Explorer. Some people have a bit more success that way. The easiest way to do it, if he is running windows,  is to click "Start", then "Run" and enter the following command:

iexplore http://www.racemotorcycles.com/

This should launch Microsoft Internet Explorer with the homepage URL. he will then be redirected into the forum. Once there click "Login" on the top and try to login.

The other option is for one of the mods to contact Shawn and ask him to upgrade to the latest version...Or move the BB to a different server where someone is willing to mantain it.

When Shawn upgraded the last time, these issues were brought to him.  Although I really don't think he has much interest in maintaining the site.

I've volunteered to do it for free.  I'm extremely familiar with the code and servicing of it.

Right now I'm fairly confident that cbr600rr.com has more traffic in a day than this forum does in a week...  

Anybody willing to go to bat for me, start emailing him...  The banner ads on here aren't worth jack, so I know it's not making him anything worth writing home about...

I have AOL as well and can't stay logged once I leave the 1st page that comes up after I log-on. I have used IE to use the site since this sites "upgrade". Most recently I downloaded Mozilla Firefox and have been using that, it is slower than AOL dial up, but the picture quality is far superior and problems are almost non-existant for me so far. :)

Well .. Henry has tried all of the suggestions so far and nothing has worked.

And .. Andy Feuersthaler wrote me yesterday.  He is another one who can't log in!  He doesn't use AOL!

Something must be done .. or else we'll lose many more people due to disfunction!!

Anybody willing to work on it might get a moment with Kevin Elliott while at Daytona.
