Ok, everyone is telling me they don't see the reason for a 750 anymore.  If everyone feels this way then maybe we should present this to CCS and have the Classes changed.   If you notice the HW Supersport class and HW Superbike class has restrictions/Limitations which would be 775cc 4-cylinder liguid cooled.  There are folks out here that enjoy to race these classes but they also ride other than Suzuki motorcycles which means you are ridiing an out dated bike.  The only way to compete with the Suzuki GSXR 750 (Fuel Injected) is to throw a bunch on money into your bike either a 600, 636 or old ZX7R/RR or R7.  That was the main reason for my topic previously. (What's Kawi waiting for)...  I don't know many racers that have thousands of dollars to throw into an old bike or a smaller bike to try and make it competitive against a new GSXR750.    I think if the manufacturers don't make compairable bikes then maybe this is something CCS should look at for Race Classes.  Maybe they should up the HW Supersport and HW Superbike to 1000cc 4-cylinder liguid cooled.  I quess that would solve some issues.  of course then you have your die hard 750 race freaks that would get disappointed as well.  Just something to ponder and think about...

I posted a CLass suggestion in the Rules and Reg side asking CCS to look at and possibly consider.  Check it out ;D

There are lots of current 1000cc twins out there that can be/are competetive in HW classes...

If you look at the results of the HW races though, plenty of guys on stock (or stock enough to run supersport) 600's can win a HW race.. don't need to dump a ton of coin on the bike to win.. just ride better   :-X

I don't have money to throw at my 600 to make it "competitive" against 750's or 1000's.

But I beat most of them regularly when I race up a class.

What's your point?

Regardless of manufacturers, heavyweight is basically for 750 fours and 1000 twins.  That encompasses a decent number of bikes.  Unlimited is primarily for 1000 fours.  I don't see a reason to change much.  There is a performance difference between these bikes, but it isn't always manifested in a substantial difference in lap times.

That was my exact thought as well.

Agreed as well...  Plus, it's like a cheater 600 class.  I can run my 600 competitively in it and not worry about getting absolutely crushed on the straights like happens with a 600 vs 1000 (inline 4).

Instead of asking the other manufacturers to build a 750 just get rid of Suzuki.

Can't we just get rid of 600's?

i think we should be able to ride down a class as well as ride up one class.. I 'm sure I will still be slower than those guys ;D

I got a 1000 last year and went slower..... a lot slower.
I've come to the conclusion that unless you're fast as hell, and I mean Rob Oliva fast ;D the extra power won't help you.
