I like the system... But I wonder, under what circumstances would you want the EMS to remove your helmet? Several years ago, a friend of mine broke his back in a MX crash... The _first_ thing the EMS wanted to do was take his helmet off, luckily I was there and refused to let them do it, and made them duct tape his helmet to the back board... The doctor said that removing his helmet _would_ have caused more damage... Like I said, I like the system, but if it were me, I would prefer that the Doctor use it and not EMS...

K3 try the Blackhawk Farms web site and contact email.

As for EMT's removing helmets. I know the group at Blackhawk doesn't just indiscriminently remove helmets. Only after they have evaluated the patient and are assured removing it would not do any further damage do they remove it. Any EMT worth a damn would do that.

That's why I am pushing for BHF to keep the crew they have. These people know the ins and outs of motorcycle crashes. They have been doing this a long time and train any new people in proper procedures involving our sport.

I suggest all of you send a letter or email to Ray Irwin at Blackhawk Farms or Heartland Park and ask him to retain the current medical teams at BHF.
