The movie is on the IFC right now....

What the heck is up with that goofy accent that they're talking with?

Paul grew up in northern MN and they didn't talk like that.

Nobody ever admits to their own accent.

I've been called Canadian more than once since I moved away.

If that were the case, they should sound totally normal....

... instead it was like watching a SNL skit.  LOL!

LOL, when I started racing, there were lots of Canadian teams running the WERA endurance series.

We met this guy, and he had an accent.  I said to my racing partner, "Hey, is he Canadian?"  "No, that's Andy Fenwick.  He's from Neenah."

The first time I saw Fargo, I didn't like the accent thing either.  I guess they needed a little comic relief.
Never interrupt your opponent while he's making a mistake.

Don't worry, all of us in the midwest have an accent, it's just more "midwestern" ;D

We drop our "g"s in words ending in "ing".

We say "bubbler" rather than "drinking fountain".

A lot of that comes from polish, german, and other northern european immigrants.

We jjust jggy like that. Aaaawwwuuuhuh. ;)

Mi'waukee has bubblers...

Things get a bit differnent when you go through the gateway to the west.  Then, as you move south, the rate of speech changes too.  How about in the northeast where the "r's get added to "a's" at the end of words?

Everyone's got somet'in'...But Hollywood doesn't really know much about it anyway...

Come to the UP and I'll show you some accents that are absolutely crazy and I live here, for cripes sake!!!

My biggest offence is punctuating too many sentences with "hey", not to be confused with "'eh".  You won't catch me saying "you's" as in "you's guys" though!!!
