Maybe that is him, but his head was lighter, that's why when I looked it up too, he resembled the one I saw, can I say again, HE WAS HUGE, and beautiful. He's a meat eater. Thanks, I want to try and get a picture of him, he's been hanging out for a while.

If it was an African Goshawk, most likely it escaped captivity or is the decendant of an escaped pair. They arent migratory birds.

Try looking in this site for a more likely match.

It COULD be an african, but I dont know if they are adaptable to the weather here.
