The '06 Steltenpohl is expected in May!

(That's not what you meant, is it?   :-[   ;D )

Super Dave

Oh, no, I'd bet they can make more.

Stumpy's still has his balls, I think...unless Heather keeps them in a purse or something... ;D

No he still has them.  My purse isn't big enough.   ;)

And, yes, this model will be a one of a kind.  The waiting list was 10 years.

From what I have heard, the 06 Yamaha R6 is a January release....

The SUzuki GSXR 600 will be a late february release ( if you know somebody, you may have it before Daytona..)If you don't know anyone, after Daytona.

Ok, so who was holding up production....

Probably the better question would be:

When do you think parts will be available for the new 06's...

The answer to that one will be the major determining factor...

Super Dave

I think an assembled unit still functions without "parts"...

Jeff

That's right Dave, they do.. And since we're modifying SS rules, we'll just make sure that OEM bodywork and headlights are legal...  ::)

Most Parts are already ready for the 06 R6...

Graves has the exhaust ready, RearSets, etc.., Sharkskinz has the body work ready
Ohlins has the rear shock ready and 25MM kit nearly done...

I don't know about DynoJet stuff

All Vortex stuff is pretty close to the same...Sprockets, Clip-On's all that should be good...

What is going to suck is trying to find 2 sets of spare rims for her on E-Bay w/o having to pay retail for them..  :P

I think the R6 should be in good shape in time for Daytona...  :D

My Dealer already has several 06 R6s's in stock, and I put my deposit down on the 1st 06 R6 back in Aug of 05...He said mid-January time frame...

Don't worry, even if you buy Dynojet stuff and have it installed on your bike, it probably still isn't ready....

Headlights can be removed, and stock fairings can, and have been modified.  Pretty easy.  These ain't no GP bikes.

Jeff it aint no Honda, a normal guy can get on a new R6 w/bodywork, an exhaust, a steering damper, brake lines, and maybe a set of Hyper Pro springs and be competitive immediatly. And with some luck and brains, you don't fall down and need to worry about parts.  ;)
