The title says it all.  I was glancing over the 750 points list that was included in renewal and saw my name.  Does this mean that I need to paint my number plates?  Thanks - Johnny

Jeff

yes, that's what it means...  you can petition to stay AM if you have a desire/reason to.

Any particular process you need to follow to petition to say AM?

You need to send a letter with your application stating the reason(s) why you feel you should remain amateur. We will then review your race results, reasons for remaining amateur and discuss with relevant people your case. If your letter states "I don't feel ready" then there is not much to work with and race results will be reviewed. Give some details/reasons why "my wife washed my lucky underwear"  :P

Simply checking the AM box on the application does not mean you will get reviewed the computer does not do the reviews and will issue license based on bump list.

If you wish to advance to expert send a letter in as well.

Congrats to all those that have made it to the top and will be competing as an expert next year and for those just starting you too can learn the racecraft needed to compete and excel.
