I really don't think you want racers running it

Super Dave

LOL!  Yeah...

It's a done deal for someone.  We're just hearing about it.

Jim, you doing anything at the Chicago MC Show?  Far off shot...

Interesting. Probably some (more  ::) ) rough patches but maybe we'll become a priority for once. Maybe we'll have better promotions and be run in an efficent manner with points and results updated within days and refunds and payouts recieved that same season.

This is a positive - we can't get much worse!  ;D

One thing about CCS / FUSA that has always miffed me, they are/were owned by Clear Channel Entertainment, now how many radio stations do they have under their control? A whole hell of a lot and did they ever promote CCS/FUSA events thru this medium?? I never heard one radio spot/plug, that is just stupid and I don't want to hear about radio airtime being expensive, that is just short sighted.
I enjoy doing a CCS event when there are breaks in the WERA National Series, but I have to say there is a lack of commitment from CCS/FUSA ownership (Clear Channel). And who gets the brunt of the remarks and negative comments... the good guys like Art Staples, Kevin and many others I have had the chance to meet in my two years of CCS racing, before I switched to WERA. These organizers are doing good things but I would think their hands are tied by someone above.
I mUst admit I was going to WERA due to its endurance series, which is great and I have found a home there. My point though is not anti CCS just I find it ashame that the efforts of all  at the track at a given race weekend are not recognized and given the proper exposure to make CCS a better, more racer friendly, not so financially taxing venture.
Hopefully the end result is better this time around.

during the 2000 FUSA series i did 10-12 different radio spots and appearances at track-local bike shops 'with' the FUSA crew, it was well organised and extremely professional.  The autograph sessions they used to have for the riders had lines 30-40 people deep for 30-40 minutes straight.

yes things were better then, but when any company gets bought and sold as many times as FUSA has things turn to crap, hell just take a look at Moto Guzzi  ;D

Unless FUSA can "pay" CCE for the spots, why should CCE "give" FUSA advertising when they can develop revenue from customers that will pay for the spots?

In 2000, they had a budget through Wrenchhead.com, I believe.  2000 was a good year.

Riders, or teams, should work on promotions.  Give that responsibility to the sactioning body and it probably won't work.  The AMA doesn't do it, but the promoters for AMA events do.

That was abck when WERA Pro Series owned the name.  If CCE would sell it I'd bring the class back, it was fun.

why can't you just start such a class? sounds like fun... I got a turbo I can mate to a R1 or something right here!!!

Our F1 class still follows the old FUSA rules so go for it :D  I just always liked the name.  The Xtreme names never sounded as good.

CCE is way too busy to thingy with small change like us >:(
They are focused on promoting ALL that generates BIG $$ to pay off 3.4 mil in FCC and fraud charges.
