Seriously though, I`ve noticed from talking to people what they like for leathers has to do with two things. Cost and fit. First, determine your price range and see what types fall in the area of your $$.
Then maybe try to talk to people with a similiar build and see what they like. I`m 6`1 and 180 lbs and it drives me nuts cause no two suits fit the same!
Sorry this isn`t a simple brand specific answer! ???

I've heard nothing but good things about Vansons, and they will be my next set.  My Alpines crashed good, but apparently you can't fix holes around the outer plastic armor; right Alexa?

Yeah,

my little low side wasn't so bad, but my boss really, really crashed my back up suit, and that one came out better than the A suit.

Neither of us injured.

http://www.vansonleathers.com

I fall, I tumble, I get run over...

I get up.

Repairable too.

I sold my leathers from 1991.  I sold my leathers from the 1992/1993 season.  I still have my leathers that I used from 1994 through 1998...then used a bit during 1999, 2001, and let Mike Reibe use them for a couple years.  Still have my last two sets of leathers too.

I use mine alot too in racing and then the school programs and vintage racing that I do.
