The paint job your dad did for us was great.  It has really held up with no chipping.

I have to correct you on one point.  We were not trying to paint gold ourselves.  My spray painting days were long before the gold paint scheme.

Ask me for contacts?  Who ever I can find to do it in a couple of days...

If you're gonna do a spray bomb, you can go to a auto paint store and have them put the paint you want in a can.

I think the biggest trick that I always had was getting the paint to flow right.  So, heat up some water, out of the tap, and place your spray paint cans in it for about 20 minutes.  That will heat up the paint and allow it to flow.

Paint, sand, repeat.  Prep is the key.

But it only needs to look good going by at 100, right?

Seriously, though, I did a RD350 a long time ago with Krylon.  Turned out really nice.
