QuoteNext month show up in your leathers, gloves, boots and helmet, Just before the race slap your elbow pads a few times, do a few squats to stretch out and before you climb in the cart, point at your eyes than your opponent and down at the ground, all of this with you tinted visor in the down position.  Start the race and keep your elbows out, and scream every time you "nudge" someone out of the way.

LOL... that is great!  Maybe I'll just stay geared up the whole time, never open my tinted visor, I'll look like a motorcycle version of The Stig.

I think Garner, Garrett and I are gonna head out there in a few weeks.  You're nearby - you should come out when we go.

Was it truly cancelled?  I thought I saw on the Top Gear site that they going to start taping again in November.

Right now Jeremy is having some medical problems that is prohibiting from taping the show.

...edit...

I think, maybe, you're right, and we're ok.  Someone from another board passed this email on to me, dated 10-14-05, from Discovery Channel customer relations:

QuoteThank you for contacting Discovery Channel. We appreciate you taking the
time to share your thoughts and concerns with us regarding "Top Gear." Your
comments will be forwarded to our program management and executives and
will be taken into consideration.

The "Top Gear" show was not "taken off the air" but rather ran its pattern.
It is being revamped for a U.S. audience and will return later this year.
Look for it in December.

Oh - and a few weeks ago my dad fwd'd me some article about Jeremy (can't find it now... doh!)  He has back problems and is retiring from the show.  Supposedly they signed Sabine Schmitz to replace him.

Mmmmmm.... Sabine....
