ahh yes scotty. i remeber! purk would be the guy to talk too about who that guy sponsers and how to get in touch i believe.

and it's spelled "bobbY" not "ie" ;D

Scotty Ryan

OOPS, Sorry bobby... Purk said that you aren't going to Daytona... He was trying to convince me to ride down with him, but I just don't have the coin. So I am heading down to Putnam Park tonight so I can get a little practice in before winter sets in. What do your plans look like for next year?

i'm hoping to have a new bike and be able to actually race next year unlike this year. really as long as my luck is better next year i'll be happy. what are your plans?

Scotty Ryan

Yeah, what was it like three cranks? New equipment is always nice.. Next year is all up in the air right now. I have to see what deals if any come through, got a few things going but we'll have to see. I need to get a new 600 and a 1000 would be nice but beggers can't be choosers. I would like to run the AMA series but that takes lots of cash. It's almost too early to tell. I have to give Jeff a call, when was he leaving for Daytona?

Hey Scotty,

You did notice that you posted something about you, Jeff, Bobby and your girlfriend in a hot tub together, on a thread about amateur racers and porn, right?

 ;)

I think we need to hear a little more about that story!

Don't give up on your dreams! If an illiterate like K3 can write a book, imagine what you can do!

now edger.....thats for us and the people at whatever hotel in beloit we were at to know.

it was right after dinner at crapplebee's, you could have come along if only you had asked!

scotty, did you make it to putnum? how did it go?

Scotty Ryan

Nice.... See I open my mouth and look what happens.......Anyways, yes I got down to Putnam Saturday night. Myself, one of my teamates and my girlfriend, word to the wise DO NOT stay in the Econo Lodge in CloverDale, IN ...... The worst place I have ever stayed. Sunday was mid 40's when we arrived at the track, it warmed up to mid 60's... Got black flaged for riding wheelies... OOPS.... Was told that if I didn't cut it out-I was out....Last time I rode Putnam was on an SV 650. This was the first time there on the 600. First lap of the day was a 1.23, got down to 1.18's then 1.17 then mid 1.16's... I asked some of the guys what a good lap was and they said on Saturday Garth Cloyd (midwest Nesba chief) was running mid 1.15's on his AMA Superstock GSXR 1000,before his bike popped out of gear and wadded. Well I wasn't about to let anyone have a faster lap then me so I put my head down and after I worked my way through traffic I ran five or six 1.15's the fastest was a 1.15.43... my next goal was a 1.14, after coming into the pits and looking at my front tire that had already been swapped out earlier in the day, there was no way I could go out and run faster safley.....so we called it a day...

nice work scotty! i've never been there myself so i would have had no idea what a good lap was.

to answer your earlier question, yeah its been three cranks in the R6. and it still needs a new one. and jeff left on saturday

Thorny

To answer an earlier question, Jim from 4&6 doesnt race but does build the best motors in the midwest or for that matter he has built stuff that won AMA ss races, and no he doesnt sponsor unless he is set up in something good. He at this time runs the MW Dunlop tire thingy and does all the stuff (Engine,Data aqu., set-up, dyno tuning) for the AMA Suzuki team of Safety First Racing. Not to mention he is just like me, he will tell you the truth, even if he hurts your precious feelings!
