Yeah I know of it. Its pretty much of a joke.

I prefer www.cycleforums.com (which is one of my sponsors ;D), www.sportbikes.com, www.sportbikes.ws and a few other boards. Locally www.chicagolandsportbikes.com .

I was not expecting any replies to this, but I knew you would.   ::)

Well I used to be a mod there until the site owner had a temper tantrum and shut it down.  ::)

Ok, here it is.  Most everyone here knows I'm new to this, but I see it this way.  There are a hand full of kids that are looking to go into racing. They have no idea where to go, who to talk to, etc..  Well, if they search it on the internet, Formula USA site will come up, they will come to our site, and they might come to the Fan Forum (knowing what it is), they'll say WOW these people are great, they talk to each other, help each other out and even give other places to look for help, and they can laugh at our jokes.  If they happen to use my link to follow up on my info, so be it, people make their own mistakes and serve their own consequences. I really like Motorcycle racing, I like to help, as is alot of other people are, bad or good.  You've had a bad experience with these people, there is no need to express it badly here.  ;)

No reply necessary.

This is actually a great place to discuss bad experiences! It helps others that are new to the sport also..... ::)

My point is, what is not good for some may be good for others, most of the time you have to find out for yourself.  :)

You really must be new to message boards in general then. EVERY MOTORCYCLE one I'm on or visited the "kids" ask about racing THERE. Most dont even know what orgs are available. They dont 'google' for it. Thats too much effort. We get asked that all the time over on CF. Depending on their location, I point them here, WERA, WSMC, CRA, LRRS, AFM or where ever else thats closest to them.

Now that's an interesting proposition...

Motorcycle racing is not like car racing.

You see, people that race cars usually are a cottage market.  Costs a good deal of money.  Some people that race remain in for a long period of time.

Motorcycle racing is cheap.  There is so much hype in it designed to suck money out of noobs, they go away having never learned much of anything.  They leave in discust and embarrassment never to want to return in any form again.

There's a lot of internet hype too.  Site owners that don't know much more than that they own a bike market "sponsorships" to companies that perpetuate their hype.  It's a mess.  Real knowledge is far and few between in the motorcycle industry.

If someone were looking for it, they could find it.

I have a site too.  Should be over run with noob racers.  Fact is, motorcycle road racers make up a minority in this industry.
