Top speeds at BHF and RA?

So what does the lightweight bikes, like the SV run top speed at BHF and RA??  What about average speeds through the corners there.  I know the back straight just before Canada Corner is pretty long...SV's top out there??

The speedo on my SV always reads "0"

Feels faster though!!!  ;D

I tried to do the math based on gear ratios & RPM on my front straight speed at RA.  If I remember correctly, I was tapped out at around 9500 RPM's in 6th with 16/45 gearing and my math came up with somewhere around 130-140.  That seems a little optimistic for a supersport-spec SV though.

BHF top speed is lower.  I don't top out there before having to brake.

What do you want to know?

The more opportunity one has for speed, the more opportunity for the racer to exploit it.

Blackhawk has slow speeds of around 50MPH or 45MPH for me on my 600, I think, and turn two I have seen 125MPH or so with my knee on the ground.  An SV won't get to that speed through two though.

Corner speed is dictated by the width of the track, the radius that the bike must follow, the ability of the rider to fully utilize the traction that is available, and the ability of the rider to tune the chassis to optimize the feedback that the rider can recognize and use to execute the above.

The first thing I did was remove my spedo and raplace it with a tach. I dont know how fast we go and I don't really want to know to tell you the truth. If I knew how fast I was really going, I think it would be too much of a distraction. I.M.O. Mark.
