Does anyone have any pics/video of Mark Sorensen's bike on fire at Barber? It happened coming out of turn 3 on Saturday. He is fine, but is looking for some pics for posperity.

FWIW, here are some pics of the aftermath:

I was in the race, but did not see anything, glad he is OK

This is what I saw from the pits.

Glad to hear that he is fine.  That was a nasty spill.  We were watching from the tower and saw him tumbling and then the bike on fire.  It seemed to take forever for the corner workers to get to the bike to put the flames out.  We thought for sure that the bike was going to blow.  I am sure that somebody will show up with pictures, it was the talk of the pits.

No, I did not build this motor.... ;D

Actually, he lost the front trying to go around the outside of someone coming up the hill.

I was in that race also. About 6 of us crested the hill in a bunch. I thought for sure someone was going to T-bone it. By the time we turned back towards pit out, the smoke was a hundred feet in the air! :o Glad to hear he is OK.

I'm that someone. We were going back and forth for 4 laps. It was a good time until we were side by side coming thru turn 2 .We were both hard on the throttle. It looked like he had the mother of all tank slappers. Then I lost site of him. I hope he's OK.

I spent 7 hours in the hospital for basically nothing. I tried leaving the ambulance in the pits, but got light headed so they checking my blood pressure, and it was low so off to the hospital I went. (I guess after Pridmore they're not chancing it as much.) I think my insurance co-pay will be the pricest part of the crash.

Only the top of the bike caught on fire, so i just need a new tank, seat, body work and some front end stuff and should be good. That fire extinguisher powder it horrible though. I washed the bike twice last night and this morning stuff was rusting on it anyway. I basically WD40'ed the whole bike now...anyone else know how to stop the oxidizing at this point?

Anyway, my Scott's steering dampener sheared off and punctured the tank. My front broke loose and then I somehow ended up in a tank slapper. How far from the bike did I end up? I didn't even know the bike was on fire until the ambulance driver asked me if I wanted to see a picture of my bike on fire (his photo was so far away you couldn't see anything)
I'm bruised and road rashed, but nothing broken.

#4 Ducati--you surprised me on that inside line, I thought I was clear of you but I guess not. I see you caused the next red flag. What happened there?

As far as I can tell from talking to the riders behind me. We went three wide into turn one,me in the middle.  # 64 turned in on me, we came together and at that same moment #283 hit us from behind.
I think I got the worst of it. 3 broken ribs & a trashed bike. I maybe done for the year. 283 finished the race,64 didn't. My wife spoke to him and he appeared to be ok.Im not blaming anyone, with only 4 laps nobody was willing to back off.  That's racing! I hope there's no animosity between us.

Guys,

I was in the race and it was nuts as it was re started twice. Racing or not people took chances that did not need to be taken. Each time we re started it seemed that people made poorer choices. I guess from the heat. I got lucky and finshed the race in second place.
