K3 Chris Onwiler

One awful Friday night trip to St Louis, Dave and I had both been awake for at least 30 hours when we left, but we were still trying to make the track before morning.  Neither of us could stay awake.  We were down to 15 minute stints, and that was getting us nowhere.  I told Dave I could drive the last hour, but after forty minutes, I just couldn't do it.  I was using both lanes and both shoulders to stay on the road.  Twenty minutes from the track is a rest area.  I pulled in and parked between two semis, leaving the engine running for heat.  I reclined the seat and went to sleep, not bothering to wake Dave.
About ten minutes later, I awoke to a high-pitched scream!  Dave landed in my lap, driving his ass off!  I said, "Dave, we're parked...."  He looked around, said, "Oh," crawled back to his side of the truck and went back to sleep....
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"

Damn I can always count on a K3 post to crack me up. Been a bad week when it rains it pours and it is raining cats and dogs again today.

Thanks K3!

So, has your house fallen in the hole yet, or did you get that taken care of? (Inquiring minds and all...)

Do or do not, there is no "try".
