Nice pics Rhiannon!  :)

Last time I saw Paul he was headed home on the interstate none the worse for the wear.  I'd have invited him over for dinner but he had a long way to go.

Cycle Cat has been a great sponsor for Rhiannon. Mark your caledar, because she's going to be on Corbin's Ride On on Speed a week from Saturday. (I'll double check and post when I know for certain). They inteviewed her at the Mid-Ohio AHRMA event.

I think she's working on all of her deals for '06, so I'll keep you all updated if she's going to be in any more media next year.

Good guy, I noticed him standing there with Egan and Buell, it just didn't click until I saw this thread.

Must be nice to go test new machines and be in a motorcycle magazine.

That new buell is pretty cool to.

lbk

He was in a couple issues a year ago too, in the articles "Racing a buell". Basically about the FUSA endurance series, that him and one other guy were running.

Nick, I think part of that has to do with the fact that he works for Buell. ;)

H-man

WAZZUP Dave?   How ya doin'?

Man, where have you been?

Missed ya at G-man.

Thanks for the kind words, guys.

Yep, spending the day riding new iron with Peter Egan and Erik Buell is tough duty, but somebody has to do it. It was one of those crappy 35-degree days in May, but still way better than a normal day in the office.

As Kevin noted, my Gingerman basically sucked. I've never crashed twice in one weekend before, but somehow managed to get the job done on Sunday. Tweaked my knee pretty good on the second get off, but at least the bike is mostly OK. I'm skipping Barber to heal up and get ready for BFR. See you then!

PS. If anyone needs lessons on how to navigate Chicago traffic at speed while pulling a trailer, Don Cook is your man!

LOL.  I get a lot of practice driving to work every day!

Hope your knee heals quickly.

By the looks of the picture, Eric is the only smart one with something over his head. It also looks like those guys are closing you out of the conversation, you kind of look like a lost puppy dog their. Where's the hot cup of coffee that should be in your hand?  ;)

What led to your crashes at Gingerman? Was that you that crashed in turn 1 during the GTL race?

Chicago Traffic does majorly suck donkey ballz! Especially in Indiana on 80/94! Christ! I drove back form Michigan 2 Sundays back to back! The 31st from Gingerman and the 7th from Grattan! It's amazing the traffic volume on that Highway! THERE HAS GOT TO BE A BETTER WAY TO GET TO MICHIGAN BESIDES 80/94!

PJ

Yeah, I'm just a PR flack. I'm the behind the scenes guy who gets coffee and buys everyone lunch...hey, where is that hot cup of coffee??

Actually, I was listening carefully to the conversation, because I'm the one who has to jump in and stop Erik and the engineers from going too far and revealing too much. There's no such thing as "off the record!"

Good stuff though. Each of the CW editors brought a different view to the table. Egan the emotional side. Anderson the pure engineering perspective. And Edwards the overall industry slant.

Throw in a fast paced two-day ride and some memorable benchracing afterwards...

Damn, I hate my job.  ;)

H-Man, I've been around you just aren't looking hard enough. LOL

Yeah I skipped the Gman round, just because I didn't feel like driving around the lake. I should've known you would be there. You coming to the Wegmen weekend? C'mon! C'mon! You know you want to.

PJ, that sucks about the crashes so is the 9R still in one piece? Was it the 12 both times, or 1 of each? I need to hit you up for some advice when I see you next time, I'm still considering the buell, and I figured you'd be a good person to talk to. You were trying to beat Ed Key again in the dry weren't you? ;)

It was the 12 both times. First I crashed in T9 (fast left) in GT Lights. I was attempting a pass on the outside and just lost the front end. It was an easy low side, but at pretty high speed.

Then I crashed in T3 on the first lap of the Thunderbike/Lightweight Supersport race when I misjudged my closing speed on some of the slower riders gridded in the race ahead of us. They braked earlier than I thought and I got caught out. At least I didn't take anyone with me.

Yeah, I'm trying hard to beat Ed (and Brian and Gary, etc.). Maybe too hard? But damn, those guys are fast and you have to try pretty hard just to keep 'em in sight!

Anyway, I'll try again at Blackhawk. Stop by anytime to talk.

PS. Did you see this?

It's a matter of fact I did see that one Paul, and even called the guy. Price is good has the chain conversion, price was right only problem was he is in FL. So can't do that which is probably best because right now I still have an SV to get back in order before I look into buying anything else. See ya at the next BHF round.
