The main 2 tracks im thinking of crashing on are Blackhawk and Road America.

I will be running a 1996 F3.  Any ideas on sprocket size  for these two tracks with this bike??  And what brand is decent??????

While I know nothing about those tracks, check out http://www.xdotengineering.com/racing/Gearing.xls for my Excel gearing spreadsheet. All of the yellow cells are input fields, and they affect the values in the white cells. Hope this helps.

Hehe well since no one will share the F3 gearing secrets with me for BHF or RA  I have sent you a email and will have to experiment some.

Thanks in advance for the charts.

Gearing for my 96 F3 at BHF is 1 less in the front 2 up in the rear, I ran stock sizes for RA.

Hope this helps some.

should ask the times they run too. Gearing is only relevant to riders turning similar times. 2 riders, same exact bike will require different gearing if the times are more than a few seconds different. Slower corner speed and hence slower exit speed hence slower speed at the end of a given straight... will require a larger rear sprocket than a guy/gal who can carry more corner speed..
