The Chicago Daily Herald has decided to expand its motorcycle content into a seperate section each Monday.  I've been asked to do sportbike road tests for the paper!  Thing is, I need bikes to test.  So if anyone out there has any juice at a local bike shop, please help me out!  All I need is to take a demo bike out for about an hour.  I don't mind if someone from the shop comes with me, and I don't intend to beat the bike senseless.  All I need is a riding impression, and the spec sheet for the bike.  I'll make sure the shop gets its props in the article too, so it will mean some free advertizing for the places that help me out.
Locals and board regulars know that I've been after a media job for most of my life.  This could be a solid step in the right direction.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Please e me at racerk3@aol.com if you can find me a hookup.
Thanks!
K3
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"

Well, I've got the numbers I need to talk to the right people at Suzuki and Yamaha.  Anyone able to help me with Kawasaki and Honda?

What, no interest in Buell or BMW? ;D ;D

Good luck K3!  I hope all the pieces fall the right way for you!  I know you'll make the most of it if they do!

Chris, if you need to test Ducatis, Aprillias, Suzukis or KTMs, I have a contact for you, but they are up here in Wisconsin. Let me know, bro! :D

Do or do not, there is no "try".
