That's easy.  Skip the GT races, because the endurance race would allow bikes of all sizes, expert and amateur.  Now you've saved at least 2 hours.  Make it a 2-3 rider format, and charge triple what the GT race costs.  Now the money is the same for CCS, and we have a real endurance series to compete in.
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"

GT races.. that's only about an hour and a half.. Plus.. that's like 80 bikes between those 3 classes.

That would suck.. I'm not gonna do an endurance race on my 125, so I would have to:  a. find someone to 'team' up with, and b.  learn to ride another bike.  No way. They'd lose my entry if that happens.

Saturday afternoon is usually open, since most doing the trackday that are racing, have their bikes setup by then. If the race were to be a 2 hour event, it might work in the Sunday AM timeslot...

Sounds like schedules run a little different in the SW.
CCS AM 815... or was that 158?

Consider the contingencies also. What do the vendors pay for a Team Challenge type of race.

Most of us would love to race a team race but to eliminate the GT races would prove to be a ecomomic loss for CCS, I would'nt even consider double, much less triple the entry fee for a 20-30 minute team race.

I hope to make a MW race this summer, as things
shut down here for 2.5 months in the summer :(

Contingencies could be rearranged, I'm sure.  If the race were several hours, and three guys teamed up, triple entry fees would equal the same price per rider, and each would get more seat time.  This is essentially what CMRA does, and it works out great for them.  I've raced several CMRA enduros over the past few years, and they are great fun.  Contingencies and purses are paid, and each class has an endurance championship.  Also remember that the number of bikes on the course would not equal the number of current entrys in the GT classes, because 3 riders would be sharing each bike.
Hey, the idea won't please everyone, but it HAS been very successful down in Texas.

If it works for CMRA, it would work for CCS! ;)

I'm game, if CCS could manange the time by only eliminating the GT races. ;D

What about us poor suckas that have no friends to team up with? Most of the time I am in this thing by myself so by eliminating the GT races you would lose riders as well. 2¢ 8)

Yup, and as well probably lose most/all of the 2-strokers.
