In Cycle News Kurtis Roberts was whining ( imagine that) about Erion not getting him the bars he wants on his bike. The machine now has 7 degree bars and he wants 12 or 15. What's he talking about? The angle of the clip on dangle? Measured off the fork tubes? Couldn't a guy like Kurtis afford to order out of the LP catalog and put them on himself?

The angle is measured from the horizontal down to the bars. Street bars are set at about 7 degrees, GP bars (like a TZ or RS) are set at about 15 degrees. For racing I much prefer a bar with more angle, much easier to tuck and keeps you in a more tucked in position.

Aha, so the variobars are the ticket for such a demand. Sounds almost clubman like. Thanks Brian.

I have never really liked adjustable bars. They seem to adjust at the most inoportune times.

They might come in handy to determine what angle may work best for you on a particular bike and then getting unadjustable bars at the correct angle.
