Quote1:12s and 1:13s will do it.  Wegman weekend last year called for 1:12s and 1:13s for top ten in alot of classes, though. Greg placed on his 600 in top 3 in HW and Unlimited several times.

Ed Key got into the mid 13s during the last weekend at BFR last season on his Superbike SV. And his bike is rumored to be substantially lighter this year.

So it seems like it will take 12s and 13s to run up front in the LW classes too...

QuoteGet Mladin here with his bike, and the time would come down more...

I would love to see what the Factory boys throw down.  I bet 600ss guys would do at least 8s and the superbikes even faster.

i think 8's on a 600 supersport bike would b pushing it, even from the factorys.....i could see mid 9's though probably......mladin, i could see mid to high 7's, but its all just a guess...i'd love to see them show up!!! btw record is like a 1:09.7something

FWIW, I think Robbie did low 10's on his 600 there...and it wasn't a very good weekend weather wise. Ed key's 13 on the SV was chasing Junge in the Supertwins race, so I hope we don't see him doing that every weekend :)

Nah, Ed will only go as fast as needed to beat you Edgar.

You have a very valid point there Brian, but I am sure Ed is not losing any sleep thinking that I may beat him! ;D

I'd be happy if I could do 13's on my 600!

If that's the case.. Ed only needs to do 19's  ;D

by the way Edgar... will you be at BHF this weekend? I bought your beer during lunch. I'll have it for you tomorrow. I only bought a 12 pack because you don't deserve a full case.

Sure he is... It's just in the form of one of those 'falling' dreams...   ;D ;D ;D

Now there's a question too...  Has Ed like EVER crashed?!?  I don't recall seeing him fall down in the last couple of years...

Yep, he tucked the front and crashed out of the GT Lights race right in front of me at Gingerman last year. I was shocked. And then I started to wonder if there was oil down or something...

Ooops!  I thought I was talking to Mark for a minute.   ;)  BTW, did you have to pay to have your picture in the Motor Cyclist magazine?

Unlike certain other racers...who shall remain nameless...  ;)  My bellypan stays attached and my oil remains in the crankase (or the swingarm) where it belongs!

Actually, the last two Exxon Valdez-style oil spills I can recall were both dropped by SV riders. Lee Davis most recently at Road America and some amateur SV rider at Heartland Park last season.

And sure, I paid to have my photo in Motorcyclist. In fact I paid extra to get that great gut shot angle in there (note that Mitch is hiding his substantial belly behind my Buell). Oh well, at least you can't see my bald spot...  8)
